    This book continuously gave. Words so wonderfully wove together, I could not stop turning the pages. I loved every moment of reading this book and felt even better when I read the "To the reader" note at the end. Bravo to Mr. Odell! What a great read! 1 million stars!!!

    Took a few chapters to get into it, but I am glad I stuck it out, because a few chapters in I could not put it down. I loved the characters. The story was so rich. Shed so much light and was able to look at this time period from a unique and telling angle.

    I enjoyed this book very much. It reminded me how I sometimes get lost in my every day life and need to get back to the simpler ways of living. Loving people equally first and foremost, but understanding and honoring who and what came before me and to remember them with all my heart and mind. Also, using what God and nature has given me to nurture and heal myself regarding foods, herbs, and all that is natural. It's all here right before us, as it always has been.
